The celeb has been crowned the King of the jungle after an arduous season.
Whether it be being forced to drink the worst concoctions known to man, being covered in creepy crawlies and snakes, or even just withstanding what must be one of the worst smelling places in the world, he’s earned it.
He beat out Reverend Richard Coles and Coleen Rooney to be crowned this year’s champion.
Danny Jones (ITV)
Coles was a fan favourite but was not really expected to beat out Coleen Rooney and Danny Jones who both made it to the final two on the show.
Rooney was, alongside Danny Jones and N Dubs star Tulisa, considered from the start to be one of the favourites to win I’m A Celeb.
While Wagatha Christie was able to sniff out the fake camp luxury that Maura Higgins and Coles were staying in, she was unable to find her way to a win.
Despite this, Jones opening up about his battle with anxiety made him a firm favourite amongst fans.
Speaking about his time on I’m A Celeb just prior to his win he said: “This is totally insane. I’ve learned so much about myself, and that’s because the camp mates were unbelievable.
“They made it so easy for us to get through the hard times. I’ve had some of the hardest times I’ve ever had, some of the highest highs, and just tried to have fun along the way. It was way harder, harder than what it comes across on TV, but it’s real in there.
“You’re hungry, you’re tired, you’re lethargic.”
Jones was emotional after winning (ITV)
Despite this, he will not actually win any prize money.
This is due to the fact every I’m A Celeb contestant receives a flat fee.
The only condition on this is that they stay in the jungle for 72 hours.
So, whether you spend a month or three days down under, you get the money you were promised at the start.
They also won’t even be allowed to keep their crown and sceptre for very long.
Last year’s winner Sam Thompson revealed on This Morning last year that he was made to give it back before he even left Australia, saying: “I didn’t get to keep anything! They wouldn’t let me keep anything!

“I had to give the sceptre back. I really wanted to bring it through airport security because it’s quite big,” he laughed.
“But yeah, I don’t have anything to show for it.
Danny Jones will not receive a cash prize for winning I’m A Celeb 2024 despite being crowned the King of the Jungle.
Jones won the hearts of the nation in order to go on to become this year’s King, as he opened up about his battle with anxiety and smashed near every task given to him.
He won in the final after beating out Reverend Richard Coles and Wagatha Christie herself, Coleen Rooney.
The McFly singer was emotional after winning, breaking down into tears and saying: “It feels amazing, I can’t even talk.
He thanked fans who voted for him, saying: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I gave my all in there, it’s a lovely feeling to be liked. Thank you so much, I appreciate this so much.”

Danny also said before his win was announced: “This is totally insane.
Despite the ordeals he went through to win, Jones will not be receiving any extra money for winning.
Unlike shows like Love Island the incentive to win is really just… to win.
Danny Jones is this year’s winner (ITV)
All contestants receive a flat fee that is agreed upon before they go in, and then get that as long as they stay in for 72 hours.
The 72 hours is just to ensure that celebs don’t take the money then run off before viewers get their pound of flesh.
Even if they withdraw, if they make it that long they get paid.
So, whether you spent a month down under or three days, your pay will be the same.
How much some of the campmates are reported to have earned:
Melvin Odoom – £60,000 to £90,000.
Barry McGuigan – £70,000 to £100,000.
Jane Moore – £80,000 to £120,000.
Alan Halsall – £100,000 to £150,000.
GK Barry – £100,000 to £150,000.
Danny Jones – £100,000 to £150,000.
Tulisa Contostavlos – £150,000 to £200,000.
Oti Mabuse – £100,000 to £200,000.
Coleen Rooney – this one depends on who you ask. Some reports have claimed she’ll receive £1.5 million, where as others have said it’s £5 million.

I’m A Celeb fans can watch the show ad-free by signing up for a free trial of ITVX Premium here. It’s £5.99 a month or £59.99 a year thereafter.
Danny Jones, this year’s I’m A Celeb winner will get a prize for being the king of the jungle, but he won’t hold on to it for long.
Jones won after smashing challenges left, right, and centre, as well as being vulnerable with viewers.
He won plaudits for opening up about his anxiety, and it led to him being crowned King of the Jungle.
The show’s two biggest early favourites – who are both in the final three – were King Danny Jones of McFly and Coleen Rooney of… well, being Coleen Rooney.
Danny Jones will have to return his prize (ITV)
According to Ladbrokes prior to the show, Wagatha Christie was the second favourite, with Danny Jones the most likely to win according to the betting company. This prediction obviously ended up ringing true.
The least likely to win based on odds was someone who not many would’ve predicted to even be in the final three at the start of the show, Reverand Richard Coles.

The final three from this year’s I’m A Celeb (ITV)
Coles was a late joiner alongside Maura, however, made it all the way to the final, becoming a fan favourite through his fun attitude and heartwarming admissions.
As such, any of the three had a real chance of winning.
Despite this, whichever of the three who wins will have a prize given to them only for it to be taken away swiftly.
As many know, it won’t be cash, as the winner of I’m A Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here gets no extra money.
All contestants of I’m A Celeb get a flat fee, with a minimum of 72 hours contractually having to be spent in the jungle.
Danny was given a crown and staff to officially crown him as the King of the jungle.
They won’t be allowed to hold onto it for long, however.
(ITV)
Last year, Sam Thompson revealed that he was forced to return them.
Appearing on This Morning following his win, he appeared alongside Strictly winner Ellie Leach, as well as her partner Vito Coppola.
It was noticeable for many that, while Ellie was there with a glamorous and glittery trophy, Sam was sat holding diddly squat.
This was noticed by the presenters, who asked why he’d not brought anything along.
He responded, saying: “I didn’t get to keep anything! They wouldn’t let me keep anything!”
He went on to say: “I had to give the sceptre back. I really wanted to bring it through airport security because it’s quite big,” he laughed.
“But yeah, I don’t have anything to show for it.”
I’m sure that the producers were dead pleased that Tony Bellew didn’t win it last year, I’d personally much rather try pry the sceptre and crown out of Sam Thompson’s hands than his.Featured Image Credit: ITV
The wife of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here contestant and McFly star Danny Jones has claimed that before he went into the jungle he told a few fibs about his phobias.
Much that the celebrities will face on I’m A Celeb is unpleasant whether they’re terribly afraid of it or not, but the worst moments (and therefore best TV for the audience) is when someone has to contend with a creature they’re genuinely terrified of.
Seeing someone getting a bowl of spiders poured over their head is a decent night’s entertainment. Watching someone terribly afraid of arachnids have to cope with the fact that some giant ones are now crawling all over them is peak TV.

I’m A Celeb producers will know plenty about the famous faces they bring onto the show, particularly in the way of fears, allergies and medical conditions.
Tulisa, for example, is exempt for medical reasons from tasks where she’d have to go too high up.
Danny Jones has already had to deal with snakes getting up close and personal in a trial, but apparently he’s not that scared of them. (ITV)
However, it sounds like the McFly man has been telling a few porkies when it comes to the jungle creatures he’s most afraid of.

Speaking on the Never Have I Ever podcast, Danny’s wife Georgia said he pretended to I’m A Celeb bosses that he was scared of snakes but isn’t really frightened of them.
She said: “He’s lied, and he said he’s scared of snakes. Bulls**t! World exclusive: bulls**t. So, everyone vote for the tasks that don’t involve snakes, please!
“He’s not scared of snakes, but he said he is, that’s a double bluff.
“So, he’s now going to get tasks with snakes, I think they think Danny’s a really genuine guy!”
Danny has already had some serpentine encounters already on I’m A Celeb, with the crew having to step in very early on to help remove a snake from his shorts.
Viewers think Danny’s been sending secret hand signals to his family, what will he think when he hears his wife has revealed his secrets? (ITV)
Very early on in this year’s I’m A Celeb he and Barry McGuigan had to face something called the ‘Mausoleum of Misery’, which largely consisted of them being stuck in a small box and having to share the space with various unpleasant animals.
Danny did admirably well in there with the snakes but as he emerged he shouted: “Can you get it out of my shorts!”
Fortunately, I’m A Celeb has animal handlers on call for just such an occasion and they were able to help him out.
Knowing now that his fear of snakes is a ruse it’s possible that I’m A Celeb bosses might think what else they could make him do.
Unless of course Georgia is pulling off a bluff on her husband’s behalf to try and steer him into trials without snakes to spare him from his greatest fear.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues nightly at 9pm on ITV 1.
